Click the download link and choose
"Save Target As..."
in the dialog box as shown to the left.

Next you will choose
"Desktop" in the
"Save in": dropdown at the top of the pop up box as
shown to the left.
 Step
3:
Next you will click
the "Save" button which saves the
PDF file to your desktop.
Step 4:
Then you will open the PDF file on
your desktop by clicking on the PDF icon.
