"Learn the Marketing and Sales Techniques of the Business World."

August 8, 2004

Hi,

It has been a while since I sent out a newsletter.

My excuse for not sending out newsletters more frequently is because I'm lazy, but I'll explain shortly how my laziness isn't stopping me from getting what I want.

So lets begin...

Here's an update on my AdWords campaigns...

If you do a lot of advertising with AdWords then you probably received the same email that I did from Google about their content network. They are trying to encourage advertisers to use the content option and they are offering advertisers cash incentives to do so.

Google also has a free seminar which they created that goes into detail about their content network and how to create campaigns to get the most out of them. Here is the link to the free seminar: http://services.google.com/marketing/

Also be sure to check out the other web pages listed at that link for more information on using the Google AdWord contextual feature.

For quite some time I have had the content option turned off in all my Google AdWords campaigns. I wasn't making enough sales to justify the additional cost for the content clicks.

With the content option turned off I was making a profit, but not as much as I was in the beginning of this year when the content option was on and I was making a profit using it. But as I stated, my results changed and I had to disable it.

Recently Google made some changes to their content network. They say that the placement of ads are more relevant now and that the overall cost for these content clicks are also lower.

So towards the end of July I turned the content option back on for all my campaigns. I'm getting thousands of more impressions and more clicks. Overall I'm making more sales now with the content option turned back on.

I recommend that you try the content option if you haven't been using it. This is something you will have to test for yourself. Whether or not it is profitable for your campaigns will depend on the ads you write and the products you promote, but it definitely is worthwhile to test it yourself.

The new AdWord Mentor Program...

Chris Carpenter, the author of Google Cash and Jeremy Wilson have teamed up to start a new membership site which promises to help you with your AdWords campaigns.

They have a limited time offer of just $2.95 for seven days. After the seven day trial period the membership will be $19.95 a month.

There are over 25 free bonuses which are included, which include training ebooks and audio seminars on AdWords and Internet marketing.

Folks, don't even think about not taking advantage of this offer since you get to keep all the free bonuses if you decide not to continue after your seven day trial period.

There is also other helpful tools and a forum inside the membership site. I think all this would especially be helpful to anyone that is new to Internet business or to the Google Cash System. It may be just what you need to start making some money with Google AdWords.

For $2.95 you really have nothing to lose and over 25 bonuses to gain.

How I manage to be lazy and get what I want...

I share the philosophy of Dr. Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra. Basically they believe that you don't have to do a lot of work to get what you want. According to them you just decide what you want and ask the Universe for assistance. You "intend" things to happen and have patience. Being lazy this really appealed to me.

The first time I read about Deepak Chopra was in December 1997. That was when I was unemployed and in debt. I made up my mind that I would make my living selling something on eBay.

I had no idea what that something would be that I would sell.

So being well prepared—not really—I went out and purchased my first computer and a digital camera. I added another $2,500 to my credit card debt. Thank you Visa!

At about the same time I came across an audio tape, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success - A Practical Guide To The Fulfillment of Your Dreams by Deepak Chopra. Being unemployed, in debt and not having any idea what I'd sell on eBay, led me to believe that this might be a good tape for me to listen to.

I have no idea what affect this audio tape had on my ultimate success discovering Beanie Babies and going on to making a nice chunk of money on eBay, but I can tell you that it did provide me with a calming affect and reduced any worry I may have had about not succeeding.

I would listen to one Spiritual Law every day. Seven Laws and seven days worked out perfectly.

I knew Dr. Dyer mainly from his book, Your Erroneous Zone. However I soon became aware of the fact that Dr. Dyer shares many of the same ideas as Deepak. In fact, they have even written a couple of books together.

Much of their teachings are based upon meditation. If you are not familiar with meditation, let me tell you that it is not a religion. However, it is spiritual in nature.

Don't laugh, because when I was in college I thought mediation was a religion. I have to admit that when I was in my early twenties I was guilty many times of having a closed mind.

Being older, wiser and having an open mind, I now follow their teachings and use meditation on a regular basis.

I'm not going to go into the whole concept and history of meditation. If this is of interest to you then you can check it out for yourself.

What I will say is that Dr. Dyer's and Deepak Chopra's teachings work. They show you a way to get what you want without a lot of work. You can get anything you want if you ask for it, see yourself having it and never doubt that it won't happen.

If you have an open mind then I would recommend that you check them out. I don't know about you, but the concept of doing less and getting more appeals to me.

Two books I'd recommend are Getting In The Gap by Dr Dyer and of course The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Chopra.

One of the main principles you will learn is that your thoughts control much of what happens to you and what you get. If you have negative thoughts, or you think that you will fail, then that is what will happen. You basically attract into your life what you think about.

If things aren't going well for you, and you are not getting everything you want, then you have nothing to lose. Have an open mind and try an easier way to reach your goals through meditation and may the force be with you!

Best regards,
Barry Stein
