"Learn the
Marketing and Sales Techniques of the Business World."
February 12, 2005
Hi,
First of all, I'd like to thank all those who purchased AdSense GOLD
through my affiliate link. If you did then I'd like to offer you
free email consultation if you want it.
In case you missed the review for the AdSense GOLD package, here's
the link again:

Because of AdSense rules, I cannot disclose my revenue or CTR (Click
Through Rate) for my AdSense ads. I can tell you that since I
implemented the information from AdSense GOLD that both my revenue
and CTR have improved dramatically. Which means they went way up!
Here are some things to remember when using AdSense on your web
pages.
* Try not to put your AdSense ads inside any type of box or give
them the appearance that they are boxed.
* Your AdSense ads
should look as much like text as possible. * You can adjust the
colors of your AdSense ads in your AdSense management area.
* Make the headline the
normal bright blue link color.
* Make the text black.
* Make the URL in the
ads a light gray color.
* Always try to make
the background of the AdSense ads the same color as your web pages.
* The best performing
CTR AdSense ads are the large Rectangle (336x280).
Basically your web page should be set up like this:
- AdSense ads displayed
on top
- Headline
- Copy
- Adsense ads displayed
again at the bottom
Use this set up and you'll see a dramatic increase in your AdSense
CTR and revenue.
Other than your AdSense ads and affiliate links, you should have few
if any other outgoing links.
Your visitors should basically have three choices. 1. Click on your
AdSense ads. 2. Click on your affiliate link. 3. Close the window.
It is your job through the placement of your AdSense ads and your
copy to get visitors to do either number one or number two.

Mini Sites
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know some people have
a hard time creating mini web sites. They just don't understand how
to set them up. So I thought I would show you an example of a mini
site that has a good basic layout.
This is not to say all mini sites should be set up exactly like this
example since there are other set ups that will also work well. Such
as having just a one page mini site with the only purpose of having
people take some type of action like making a purchase or clicking
through to a merchant's web site.
Here's the link :
I think there is room for improvement with the overall design of
this web site, but I think the basic layout is good.
There are AdSense ads at the top of every page. I would also place
the AdSense ads at the bottom of every page in order to improve the
CTR and revenue.
I checked out all the links on the web site and some of them are not
affiliate links. I'd make every outgoing link on the web site an
affiliate link.
Again, you want to give your visitors only three choices as I listed
above. The ideal system is to make money or attempt to make money
through every outgoing link on your mini site. Whether it is an
affiliate link or an AdSense link. In fact, if you are targeting
high priced keywords with your web site copy then you'd probably
want to forget about even promoting an affiliate product and just
have the AdSense ads on the top and bottom of every page. You want
all your visitors to leave by clicking on the AdSense ads in this
type of situation.
Spend time looking at the web pages at the top of the free search
results for different keyword/phrases you have an interest in.
You'll be surprised at all the things you can learn by checking out
many of these web sites. Find some mini sites you like and that are
well designed, don't copy them, but study them to get some good
ideas for your own mini sites.
I'll be starting my Internet marketing blog again. I'll be using the
free WordPress, which I have installed on my web site. I'll get into
more detail about the whole process on my blog, just in case you
want to set up a blog on your web site.
Until next time, take care!
Best regards,
Barry Stein
